I'm sure this question has been answered many times but I'm a complete noob when it comes to wiring.
I want the hook up some LEDs in my engine bay so that when I open the hood they light up.
While looking for LEDs, I saw an LED strip that advertises it can be hooked directly into a 12v system.
I made this quick diagram.
Is this right? It seems way to simple.
Any help would be awesome.

You want a longarm switch,or an extended throw push button switch I'd use this. http://www.happcontrols.com/electric...s/50801820.htm

Thanks for the quick responses guys.
Thats a really nice looking switch DTN, but there's a $25 minimum order.
Thanks for the idea though, I didn't even think of that type of switch.
Well, I'm off to order some stuff laugh.gif
Ok I just ordered a couple of different switches similar to this one.
It was the only company I could find that would sell under 25 at a time.
I also ordered 6 feet of this stuff. I got it in white.
Thanks again for the help guys fing02.gif
