Ok.. I am definatly going with the Polk momo speakers.. but, as I am building a custom enclosure (as soon as I buy them, after the new years) I was thinking a halo around the sub.. I was going to sink it back some into the housing, so that the halo could sit flush and shine light onto the sub.

Can it be done in Green?

Default FS: CUSTOM dual 12 inch subwoofer box made JUST for the RD2

Actually... I did some thinking on it today... here is what I am going to do.. Plexi UNDER the wood of the box... with the Sub mounted to the underside of the plexi (Probably a sandwhich of wood, plexi, and then wood.. with an array of LEDS arranged to light up the plexi from WITHIN the plexi itself. Plastics like plexi and Lexon have a unique property where light that is originated along the length of the material (as opposed to passing through from clear side to clear side) will follow the material until it hits an obstruction. Just like it does in Fibre optics.. so.. the edge around the sub should glow with a nice even hue from within.. with little light lost elswhere.

whatever you do I think it would be awesome if you hooked up the lights to a pulser.

I'm hesitant on suggesting you do this. Personally, I think it would look like a cheap audio setup from Wal-Mart... but as long as you make it look clean, that's all that counts.

clean is what it is all about. No, I thought about the hooking up to the outputs... I am going to go for a nice steady red around the sub and a similar glow around the amp I am going to stick on the other side. Remember, the only part of the plexi that is going to be seen is the edge the sub is mounted behind.
