Just buy online cathodes from www.oznium.com man. They are super cheap, super bright and oznium has great customer service. Here's a pic of one 12" cathode under the dash. You gotta mount them creatively though or you won't get it that bright because you'll be cutting off a large range of light from the tube if you mount to high up or to far in the foot well up in the dash.

isn't the cigarette lighter hot if the car is on? I'd tap it into the fusebox or the radio.

two 15" tubes above floorboard did this wonderful beauty...

also... i picked up a switch....

my last question for this thread is how do i go about actually wiring the leds? I plan on putting them like majik did... then wiring to the switch... but i dont really know how to do that.. and then i dont know where the switch goes to?

put the switch in between the positive for going to the tube and the wire you are using to connect it to the power

[LEDS + ]---------[switch]---------[Power Wire in car]

ok im pretty set on how to do this now... just taking into consideration what Majik said about tapping into like the radio instead of the cig lighter...

how would you guys power the switch/leds? If you think cig lighter is the way to go.. its the green wire with the white stripe like dtn pointed out? Lastly... where would YOU guys position the led tube to maximize light and also keep out of the way of feet?
