Default Finding a new deck

Okay guys... need some thoughts. What do you guys think of:

http://sm.crutchfield.com/S-dmBITZWuZiS/cg...00&I=158CDXM995

I've been eyeing it for several months now. Anybody happen to have this? Thoughts on it if you have and/or doesn't have it please tongue.gif Seeing as I just ordered an Ixion kit I figured I should probably get a deck. I still have the stock tape deck which would be pretty lame with a body kit. LOL... Anyways guys let me know what you think or if you know of something better.

a lot of people generally regard sony car audio products as average or below average. ive never dealt with anything sony.

really, car audio is a matter of personal preference when it comes to deciding on a brand. whatever you do, dont buy from crutchfield. WAY overpriced. its good for researching though.

what it really comes down to is the features that you need. some are overpriced and have to many options the user will never use. but you can pay an ass load for a good deck that dosen't have many options because of the quality the deck provides.

im not a big fan of sony car audio, but if you like, go for it. You can prob find it cheaper if you look more. Id suggest finding it somewhere or talking to someone that has it tho first, just to preview what you'd be getting. Like i said, im not a fan so i dont pay attention to their products much

That's kinda what I was looking for smile.gif Does anybody know of a good brand deck that's somewhat similar? I just like the features it has, not the brand specifically.

I have the Pioneer Premieer P-960MP. The thing is beautiful!! If you are an audiophile, it has some very useful features to contour the sound. The 24 bit DAC's sound very good as well.

The retail on this is about $800, if I remember right.I got mine brand new on E-bay for $398 shipped!!

Crutchfield can be a good way to go,though. If you need basic install stuff, the supply it for free.If you change your mind within a month, you can exchange it.And, within a year if it craps out, they will replace it.The customer service is exceptional.
