Default factory buttons

OK guys, I went out and bought new buttons ( to replace the dead ones, fog lamp, rear wiper, cruise control, whatever your tibby doesn't have). I figured doing this would be a cool way to use factory buttons, for unfactory mods such as nitrous arming switch or additional lighting ( neons). but when i got the buttons in the mail today, they are attached to a small box that just has a plug in the back. I know there must be a way to wire this up ( figure out which metal prongs are power, ground, remote), does anyone know of a way to get some sort of wiring diagrams, or alter these buttons?

thanx

www.hmaservice.com should have the wiring diagrams for each switch. That...and you should be able to figure it out with a multi-meter.

You should have ground, 12V dimmed power for the light in the switch, 12V live for the switch, then a 12V out of the switch, and possiblly a ground out for the switched item as well. (5 pins)

hey daemon- do you have the part numbers for that off hand? I was thinking about this too. Having one as a garage door opener would be cool, maybe the others for nitrous, sub on/off etc.

what you will have to do is buy the buttons that you dont have. what buttons i boughts was the rear wiper and the fog light button. the fog light button is just like the rear defog button ( shaped like a half moon) and that part number is # 93740-27500. now the rear wiper button is different, it goes inbetween the two crescent buttons ( that center dark gey peice) that part number is # 93610-27500. but i figure you can just order whatever button you want, it just depends on what kind of picture/ or switch you want. go check out http://www.stcharlesauto.com/ they have been a big help in this ( and other things) plus they give an internet discount on all parts. i have a friend that is a mechanic at a hyundai dealership so im going to try and see if he can tell me which metal prongs are which ( power ground etc) im also going to try and find some manuels and do some research on this. when i figure it out ill post it up here so all can see if they want to wire up something to it. i just think its pretty cool to have a 'factory' nitrous switch, or switch for whatever aftermarket part you buy. the factory stylin for the tibby is soooo much better than any generic toggle switch.

Thanks! I have everything except ABS though. I was thinking of the left hand side of the dash where some of the buttons aren't actually buttons. Maybe I could put stock ones in that work. Then I could have all my stock stuff on the right, and add nitrous, etc on the left.
