Ever locked your keys inside?
How many people have locked themselves out of their car? How did you get back inside....slim jim, call someone to bring an extra key set, break a window...lets hear it?
I locked my keys in the Tib. Called campus police and they tried using a Slim Jim, couldn't get it open. I had just had my alarm installed and it automatically locked the doors when I turned the car on ("carjacking" protection or some crap). So the car was running and keys locked inside. Finally got a coat hanger down to the window button and rolled it down

I did once myself, it was way back in the day when I had my caprice. I closed the door and because it had manual locks I guess the jolt was enough to drop the lock. I can remember why but the trunk was open so I slid in using a coat hanger trough the holes I opened to top mount some 6x9s I popped the rear door's lock.
Fun one was when my roommate Trevor lock his keys in his '89 escort while pumping gas (yes it was still running) at a Florida gas station in some uninhabited part of the wilderness, down I-75, between Lake City and Tampa. Luckily the towing company we [i] called managed to get there in under 15 minutes and slimjim it for us.
EPIC FAIL:
My friend bought a 94 corsica from our auto shop teacher for $250 because the engine was completely apart. We rebuilt it and on the inaugural ride managed to blow a rad hose on the corner of Hwy 54 and Mt. Zion, one of the busier intersections in Atlanta, especially on a Saturday afternoon. We pushed it into a parking lot and found a napa to buy the hose from. After the car had cooled we replaced the hose and began to drive home. We stopped to get gas (I think you can see where this is going, and no I was no driving either time) and the genius locks his keys in the car while pumping and running the engine. Luckily gas was only 88¢ at the time tongue.gif He was too embarrassed to do anything so i call my dad who told us to find the smallest window and knock it out with a hammer..... yeah, it sounded logical. So we knocked out the smaller triangular window on the rear door. And drove home. About a 3 or 4 miles out the lights began to dim, we called my dad who came out and jumped it off several times so we could limp back to my folks place. Then that Monday found out that the small window is the most expensive, lowest quote was over 400. lulz In the end all of that could have easily been avoided by installing fresh hoses and testing the alt before installing, and uh... oh yeah! Not locking the keys in the car. Live and learn.
Edit: we wound up getting the window from a you-pull-it yard for free, told out sob story to the owner and he got epic lulz at our expense. Found a donor and he and I spent the better part of a weekend ripping the rear door to shreds trying extract the window glass.

Locked the keys in my Blazer with it running. Wedged the top of the door open and hit the power door lock switch with a stick.
Locked the keys in my Bronco. Drilled out the rivet on the wing window and reached in and opened the door. Replaced rivet with bolt.
Friend locked his keys in his Accent. Pried the top of the door open a bit and unlocked it with a coat hanger.

of course i have. the most recent time i was getting ready to leave from work, started up my car and went to go scrape the ice off my windows, i barely shut the door and for some reason the door locked alittle (normally when i start my car with the door open, like i did this day, its not supposed to lock the doors. but it did this day??) my car was running, my purse with my apartment keys and AAA card were inside...so i couldn't even get inside to get my spare keys. i tried calling my dad at work to get the number to AAA but didnt have anything to write the number or membership number down other than the frost on my window that was quickly thawing. finally one of the tenants in the apartment that just happened to be a tow truck driver (and supposedly went to HS with me) came outside to warm up his truck...he used a slim jim on my car, which worked the only down side is it damaged my tint job alittle bit but i need to replace it all anyways so i didnt really care.
