Default Window Tint

How much have some of you paid to have your windows tinted? Around here it can be anywhere from $150 to $350 depending on the shop and type of tint you get. Theres 3M Ceremic, SunTek, Huper Optik, and Solar Guard. Whats the best and does the $350 tint really make a difference compared to the $150 stuff?

I'm getting mine done next week for $170.

Some tint just has a dye in it, others have metals. Some last longer than others because they're a higher quality film. Some are designed to repel heat better than others.

Do you ever see cars that have the tint turned purple and bubbles all over it? The tint is deteriorating and fading. Talk with a local tint shop and ask about the differences. If they can't explain them to you, or show you pictures of their products, then beware.

Usually the higher priced tint will last alot longer and provide adequate UV ray protection

I'm looking at custom color purple tint. The one shop I talked to so far quoted $500.

$180 with a lifetime warranty. Been good for 6 years now. I will always go with the long life warranty if I can find it.
