Default Does the stock radio have enough power for these?

  • 2-way 6-1/2" speakers (pair)
  • polypropylene woofer cone with polyester foam surround
  • 1/2" PEI balanced dome tweeter
  • power range: 2-100 watts RMS (300 watts peak power)
  • frequency response: 40-20,000 Hz
  • sensitivity: 90 dB
  • top-mount depth: 1-13/16"
  • warranty: 1 year

I ordered 2 pair so all of my highs and mids will be swapped out for these. I dont have a 4 channel amp so will the factory radio be enough to power these things?

Stock radio is fine. You will get some distortion if you turn it way up with a lot of bass, but for most people who just want clarity and something decent sounding....those speakers will be great. I have 2 pairs of Infinity Reference 6 1/2's I just recently got and I'll be running them also with the stock radio. I do have a LOC, and a powered sub (JBL GT BassPro 12). I could easily add a 4 channel amp if I wanted, but it's not that serious for me. I wont be competing in any sound off's and the loudest I would listen to music is plenty for me or passengers.
