Default Display problems

I have stock 2DIN cd&audio cassette reciever. Display is not working. But very rarely it works not for long, when the temperature outside is below 5 F (-15 C). Once it worked when outside was about 86 F (30 C) and inside was very hot.

What can it be? Anybody has similiar problem?

I have an eclipse head unit and whenever its about 35 F or below the screen takes a little time till it works. LIke you can see everything but its very slow, all the letters just fade in and out and look like crap.

So i would guess that this may be normal, but it should start to work fine once the car warms up.

^^^ It's normal for liquid-crystal panels. It's how they work. You can see the same on cellular phone.

My display is not liquid-crystal, it's the same type as Tib's clok or S-AFC2. And my display is not working at all. It's black.
