Hey all,
Just did my first DB drag today! I got a 138.4 on two Alpine 10's. Heres the kicker: My main fuse blew before I could even crank it! I just got a new amplifier and forgot that I needed to replace the main fuse in my lead with a larger capacity fuse. I got a whopping two seconds of sound!!! I have never entered these things before and was wondering how other people do. This was not a sanctioned event so no classes. I was competing against rich kids in Escalades with 5 fifteens that mommy and daddy bought for little Jonny(Denver is FULL of these little brats!) I didn't win, but I had a lot of fun!!!
What are ya'll getting with your systems???

138 out of 2 10's on your 1st time is pretty good, definitly a good starting point. my first run was about 8 years ago with two jl 8's, hit a 139. it only gets better from here, id recommend to start researching, u can learn alot by just reading stuff online, believe me.

139 8 years ago with 2 8" is damn good. 138 with 2 10's for a first time is damn good. Ive never tested mine ever but have been told (in older systems)that it should hit around 130's with 2 10's. Was never in it to compete either. But way to go. I know its rough with all the little rich brats. we have alot around these parts too! Spoiled little bastards! Enjoy the comps man.

He was hitting around 152 I believe. All depends on your set up. Most of the people I was competing against had ported enclosures. I have sealed. Also, almost everyone there had HUGE boxes. Mine are pretty small. I did have a good time. I might do this again in the future. All I know is my system is loud enough to break ear drums and my trunk is still functional.
Yeah, its nice to have more cargo space than a rich kid with an ESCALADE!!! lol.gif

139 with two 8's??? Wow! What kind of box/amp were you using? Were they W6's?
they were w0's both wer 8 ohm's also, instead of the typical 4 ohm set up. had them bridged down to a 4 ohm loud, on a old school kenwood ps400. and if u know amps, then u know the history of those amps from the late 80's-early 90's
