Default DASHBOARD LIGHTS!!!

ok,... for those of you who cant find those annoying small little bulbs behind the fuel and temp gauge,... i think i have solution.

for the last weel ive been thinking about how i can put about 3 blue LEDS behind the gauges so it can be bright enough to blind the crap out of me (btw this would be controlled by the dimmer).

instead of finding a way to stick them back there and supplying them there own power source, i thought of a better idea.

for those of you who have changed the bulbs, have notice there are 2 slots that are design for current (ground and juice). ok,... if we take a regular LED and place a transistor right before the positive side of the LED,... we can make it work with 12 volts. the only thing that has me stumped are the wattage.
can someone please tell me how many watts are the small bulbs behind the temp/ fuel gauge and also the larger ones.
since im going to have one bright ass side, i might as well do the other.

if anyone has suggestion please let me know
or
if this idea will never work, please let me know so i can scrap the whole thing before i feel stupid and burn my friekin dash

If you ordered the 194's, I tried it last week, they fit and light it up, but not bright at all. I had the blue ones and they look very dull, as well, Random mentioned before, no one know what size those little bulbs are on the right, so it kinda looks weird.
Try it, see if you like it,...

No, man... I already installed regular dyed 194 bulbs from www.autoindulgence.com. They fit fine and look nice. Really deep, dark blue. I'm talking about the extra mini 74/37 size bulbs that go under the gas and temp gauges. Those are the ones i'm waiting for...

im planning to use LEDS to replace ALL the bulbs in the back. well not all, but just the 4 197's and those 2 small ones.
all i need is someone, with the 1st gen tibby elec manual, to let me know how many watts the large bulbs and the small ones.
ill be sticking a transistor behind each of these LEDS,... so if all goes well, i should be blinded by the end of the week
