Default Dash Lighting Question

Just took apart my dash because i wanted to change the color on some of the lighting, and change a few things. I'm wondering why these little bulbs (picture below) aren't lighting up. I put my little cheap fuse checker, that lights up if theres voltage, right into the positive side socket and its reviecing voltage. It looks like the ground is there too and the bulbs don't look burnt out. Theres 4 of these bulbs: 2 that light up the air conditioning cluster and 2 that go near the ciggarete lighter. None of them turn on when i turn the interior lights on. Whats going on? its gotta be something stupid.

Those lights come on when the parking or headlights are turned on.

Go get some new bulbs and at least try them. Or try a known good bulb from somewhere else to test with.

If that doesn't work, then we'll start the troubleshooting

Anyone know of the bulb type there? I dont see it written anywhere. It might be the bulbs cause theres a switch that uses the same power and ground wires as those bulbs. The switch controls whether the air blows from the back or front (i think), and the little light in that lights up... its just weird that all of them went bad when i decided to remove the dash? I think the ciggarette lighter bulbs where out for a long time though, so i guess its a little less weird lol.
