Cute Dinging Noise
Ok, I believe all Hyundais are like this, but I have a Tibby to be specific, and I don't like that little "dinging" noise everytime I open up the doors. Is there a way to turn that noise off, maybe by cutting a wire or something simple like that? It just makes my car too "cute" and I don't want that.... I want it to be cooooool

Yes it can be killed!!! It is a little black box similar to a relay under the dash to the right of the steering wheel. If you lay in the floor and look up it is closer to the radio. Just start feeling the black relay looking things. When you feel the one that is clicking thats is it, unplug it a there ya go.
I hate those little bastards too.

I just wish it would "ding" when I leave my headlights on, in addition to "dinging" when the door is open and the key is in the ignition.

Do you US chaps get a ding or light or something if you turn the engine on without your seatbelt on?

i got rid off that damn thing to, but i did it a different way. first i unscrewed the little rubber thing in the door jam and then put plastic wrap around the screw and put it back in, the dinging stoped. i also get the seatbelt ding, maybe i can take apart the seatbelt and tear the wires out. wink.gif
