Ok, so last weekend I noticed I had a tail light off and replaced it, after which my cruise control stopped working and all the interior lights come on when I press the brake pedal with the head lights off. I didn't drive it for a week then yesterday I take the tib out and the cruise works... until it starts getting dark at which point I turn on my headlights, which kicks off the cruise control. So I'm wondering do I have the wrong bulb or something, or do I have a short some where in the wiring. I did a search and the only thing that came up was something about tanc's rear defog two years ago.

The cruise control runs through the rear left tail light. It is probly something with the bulb if you replaced it recently. I dont' know much about it. Check anything you've done with that circuit.

 

Did you replace the tail bulb with a LED one?

 

It was the right tail light, and it was a normal filament bulb that I picked up at Wal-mart. I remember reading about LED bulbs causing problems.

 

There's definately something wrong. it's almost like the bulb is backward or something.

 

I'll take a look at it tomorrow morning and I'll pull the bulb and try a few things. Its kind of funny though because my parking lights come on when I pull up to stop signs and stuff know.

 

You put the wrong bulb in. I've seen it happen.
