Clock Colour

the DIY link is dead, but according to this thread, you do have to pull the dash out to get to it. I doubt you have to get the whole thing off, just enough to get your hands back there.
Be careful once you get it out, the little buttons behind the "H - M - Reset" buttons are delicate.
The entire clock comes out in one piece I believe, then you can take the cover off and replace the lens
No, it's not just a bulb. You just place the lens inside the cover.

Thanks.. will try in the weekend
What kind of lense do I need? Or can I spray the original one with red backlight spray (used for smoking tail lights etc)
Or maybe with a red marker?

You have to take the dashboard off to get the screws out from behind the clock. I think you've got to remove the defrost/cruise buttons to get the clock out. It's been a while since I've done it. But yeah, You've got to pull the dashboard and set it on a couch or something so the stock paint dosn't get scratched up while you work on it.
1.pop the little tabs on the edges
2.separate the face from the body,
3.let the electronics fall on the floor
4.pick up the electronics
5.search for the freakin' buttons which seem to become invisible on floors
6.look on floor where they should have landed
7.look under couch
8.look on floor again
.......
116.use a razor blade to remove the plastic mushroom caps from the top of the retainer pins on the back of the lens
117.finagle the lens off of the pins
118.use the old lens as a template to make the new lens
119.place new lens onto retainer pins and superglue into place
120. put it all back together
121. do happy dance
122 watch discovery chan.

It will take you 3-4 hours from start to finish if you have a dremmel.
