'press wood', otherwise known as OSB or Oriented Strand Board, will sound like crap compaired to MDF or a decent hardwood plywood.

although its put together well.. particle board leaks like a sif and with enough pressure opens up little slots everywhere. its deffinately not designed for sound pressure! thats why MDF is the best for it. if ur converned about weight then there is also light weight MDF

thanks guys, yea ill be remaking them with better materials. It was just to see if i could fit them and have a good amount of trunk space still. If the box is really small how much will it effect it?? because they are pretty small boxes to fit in the cuby holes in the trunk

Check out the manual or somewhere online to get the specs on ur subs. to see how much air space is recomended. im not sure exactly what happens when u use a box that is too small but i think the sub will but out less low frequenc bass... someone correct me if im wrong.
