Anyone ever changed a map light? I had one burn out, and bought a replacement. There is a little notch in the middle of the rear of the lens cover. Do I pry there with a screwdriver to open it? Thanks for the help!

 

Umm Is a map light a dome light? If so i just popped mine off with a Flat head screw driver ... Maybe i should do a DIY .. I highly suggest getting the light professionally installed ... You don't want to mess up the dome light trust me .. TOTAL CHAIOS.. <-- spelling = wrong ... J/k...

I'll stop ranting now ...

 

yep as you said... pop off the light cover

put some cellotape over the flathead so you dont scratch the cover/plactic surround.

try not to pry it rather keep the tension on the side of the light cover at pull it out. if you understand that...

It adds to the fun and excitement .. Also if you buy an LED Map light off ebay.. Be warned the Blue ones make it very, Very, Hard to see in the dark. If you wanted to know ...
