Ok guys, first of all i need a good breakdown of how to actually take the door panel OFF . tongue.gif I know kinda know how to get the window levers off, however the interior handle is a doozy. Then, ill be replacing the window levers and hopefully the handles, banana.gif but i would like some ideas of an interesting/easy alternative to the stock door panel design.
I have a 96 Excel GX.
Thanks everyone. beercheers.gif

im not too familiar with Excel's but most door panels in general area combo of screws and snaps. The screws are near places that need re enforcement, door handle for one. If its just a plastic panel the edges should have snaps of some sort that you can use a screwdriver to pop out. Hopefully this gets ya pointed in the right direction.
Also, its good to invest in maybe a door panel remover tool, like this:

You can get them from any auto parts store, for around 5 bux. They will save you from breaking snaps that hold the door panel in place.

Anywhere you see round or rectangular plugs in the door they're usually covers hiding screws. Once you get the panel partially off you can feel for where the door is still connected. On a lot of cars the door latch handle and/or it's entire cup do not come off with the panel, they pop out and get brought through the panel hole and stay with the door. There is also very often a screw hidden behind the lever that you won't be able to see unless you pull on it as if trying to open the door.

Window position doesn't matter. Your worst-case scenario is that when the window rolls up the handle may not face the same direction it did before you messed with it. There is 0 chance of screwing up the function of the handle.
To replace it, take that little goofy U-shaped "jesus clip" as we call it and flip your handle around to look at the back side. You should see the round cylinder shape has 2 slits in it. The lower part of your "jesus clip" snaps into those. Now, just push the handle back onto the spindle and CAREFULLY line up the clip and slide it into place.
THey're called "jesus clips" because you WILL drop it, and it will get lost, and you most certainly will swear up a storm or just shout OH JESUS WHERE THE FU*#%....
