well folks, i had some time to kill today.. so i wrired the amp to the subs and my 6X9's anyway.. just to see how it sounds.. and in my humble opinion.. it sounds pretty clean and still kicks.. let me put it this way.. i had a headache after i pounded it... I'm thinkin maybe i'll leave it for a while until i can afford some clarion subs and another amp to drive them... out of sheer curiousity, iw ould liek to know how many watts each speaker and sub is getting, is there any way to test that?

*DOUBLE POSTED, KNOWS HE DID, DOESN'T CARE*

oh yeah i forgot to say, i traded the 5 1/4 for 61/2 SRR 1615's

*NEXT TIME USE THE E D I T BUTTON. EDIT!!!*

nursethistib, you need to add your location to your profile. It's on the front page.

Don't Double Post.

How did you wire them?? Read my post above for the approx. wattage if bridged.. If you didnt bridge the channels and drop the ohms on the amp, ur not pushing very many watts as the speakers are 8 ohm.. But if it sounds good, just leave it laugh.gif

Why would you trade up JL for Clarion subs? Seems like a down grade to me.

I bridged channels 3 and 4 cuz they were the ones with the low pass... and i wired the subs parallel to bring it down to 4 ohms... don't worry man i read your post real carefully, i'm just curious to know the exact numbers.. not that i don't trust your math and physics skills..
but yeah they sound pretty sweet

the JL subs are kinda old and they're only 10"... the rest of my system is Clarion so i'd like to get some good clarion subs too... i dunno.. its all in my head right now.. maybe i'll come to my senses soon

You don't necessarily need bigger subs then 10's to do a good job.Alot of it has to do with the enclosure(s) and other tweek/tune tricks.
