ok guys I'm getting a bunch of different answers so any input you guys have would relaly help me out

I have
Clarion SRR6925 6X9 speakers 200W mx power rms rating unknown
and 2 JL Audio 10W8 subwoofer w/ 125w rms rating each

can I run all of them off a Clarion 4 channel APA450 amp with max rating of 400w and continous power rating of 200w?

also, i got Clarion SRR1325 5 1/4 speakers as a gift, does anyone know if they will fit into our cars without drilling new holes? is there a mounting kit i can buy?

HELP PLEASE!!!

Don't kow for most of it but 5 1/4's won't fit anywhere in our cars. You might wanna see if you can exchange them.

Dont run subs off of a 4 channel.. They arent designed for it. I am guessing your clarion 6X9's are aroudn 50w RMS. You can run your 5.25 and your 6X9's off of the 4 chan. But you'd need to come up with some way to mount the 5.25's. Maybe go to a stereo shop that does custom work and get some kickboards put in and that way its easier to run the wires to them and they'll sound better because the sound is directed to the face of the passengers insteads of to the sides of the car. They run about $150-$225 depending where you go. You'll definately want to get another amp for the subs. If you run them together the subs will be at 4 Ohms so you'll want a mono amp that is like 250+ RMS at 4 OHMs to get your full potential out of your subs.

well as far as i understand it.. when you wire the 2 8ohm subs in parallel, it'll bring them down to 4 ohms... what would happen if i did wire them to my 4 channel amp along with my 6X9's?
oh i found a store that will trade them for 6 1/2s
i was thinking i could let my head unit (200w) power my front speakers and let the 4 channel amp do the back and the subs...
would that sound like shit and cause the speakers or amp to blow?

Right so if you wired them parallel you'd be putting 45watts to both speakers RMS.. because im pretty sure you cant bridge that amp.
Do the 4 channel amp for the front and rear's and g et a cheap 250w RMS @ 4ohm amp for the subs.

Well.. Clarion doesnt have much info on their site, but enough to get estimates.. 4-3-2 bridgeable amp.. 50wx4 RMS @ 4 ohms, 100wx4 RMS @ 2 ohm..

So what you can do is run each of your 6x9's off of channel say 1/2 (or 3/4 vice versa) then you could bridge channel's 3/4 (or 1/2) and get nearly double the power (this is where they dont include a specification), which im assuming is around 80-85watts RMS bridged @ 4 ohm.. So if you parallel wired them and drop to 4 ohm, youd push 85 watts or so to each sub.. Either way, you need a new amp for your subs.. If your going to trade in your 5 1/4's, id say run your 6x9's and those by the amp (pushing 50w RMS to each) then buy a mono amp, which shouldnt be more than about $250 w/ a RMS rating of 150w @ 4ohms..

Default 61mm BBTB and cruise

Well... I hve only used a couple amps.. I used a hifonics, which is a great amp IMO.. Sometimes has some noise on the component speakers, which sux, but never had a problem w/ subs on them.. I currently use an Alpine MRD-300 Mono amp, which is digital.. I got it open-box @ CC for 275.. Gives my 2 12's 300 watts RMS each @ 2 ohms.. Id go w/ an alpine for the money, although pioneer doesnt have bad shit for their low prices if your really tight..

I use a US Acoustics amp to power my 2 JBL 12" subs. The power vs money cant be beaten. I dont think I would use it to compete against a guy who spent $1200 on his amp to get the same power, but I enjoy every cheap watt (300 x 2) of power when I am cruising down the street. I have no distortion or other problems that some people claim you get with cheap amps. I also use a california audio amp to power my front components. That amp just had its 8th birthday. Tell me thats not quality.
