Car Alarm
i had a car alarm installed in my 2000 hyundai tiburon and it was a total mess... first, the stock "power alarms" are crap... the solenoid for the locks is actually in the passenger door, so if you do want keyless entry you have to install a motor in the drivers side door to activate it... the wiring is simple, its just the placement of the motor that sucks... we did mine and it works fine. OK... the main point... these alarms are very sensitive... most times little things will set them off and eventually the alarm pretty much shuts itself off because of the nuisance meter on it... there is so much to tell about this stuff... if you have any questions just pm me.
Hey djnevamind, whats your e-mail addy. I have a DEi Viper alarm, but not sure which model it is because it was installed on the car when I bought it. I would like to find out wich one it is so I can turn up the sensitivity and also find out what if any upgrades i could get fot it.
i always thought that car starters on standards were illegal....maybe that's a state-by-state thing. when it comes to leavin the car in gear while off, i always do it in the winter, cuz what happens if the e-brake freezes? then u're sh1t outta luck. next thing i do get for my car however will be an alarm. because, after the alarm comes the system. and there ain't no way i'm gonna put in a system w/o an alarm....don't wanna be like REDZ (even though he did have an alarm) tongue.gif

fix your sig! it's a little big!!!!!, auto starts aren't illegal they are just highly unrecommend on manuals. as for the add ons for the dei stuff, man you can pretty much get anything. i can almost bet the sentisivity is attached to the steering column.
