Default Can you spray paint seats?

A friend of mine has a set of blue race seats hes selling VERY cheap because they're pretty faded. I called around to some upholstery shops and it will cost upwards of a grand to have new fabric put on them. So I was thinking....do they sell spray paint that would be ok for fabric? I would get black and spray the seats all the way around.

Yes, they do make upholstery paint, but it's not something you'd spray an entire seat with. It's more like a touch up paint. I used it on my Z's fabric speaker grills, the leather dash, and some pieces of carpet. But, it makes the fabric kinda hard, so it wouldn't work on a seat. I'm also not sure that it wouldn't stain your clothes after sitting on it.
