I used to work at the Big Red Plug went threw the steps installer, first class then masters (they paid for it ) Then I went to the Big Blue Tag I was making close to that and then the position I wanted they gave to someone who didn't even know how to hook up an amp he was a freind of a relative who was a freind ( you get the point) So I said f it and opened up my own shop and doing a lot better than their for now anyway. Well Tunez thanks for making me feel better and I hope you know what I mean by my plugs and tags.

 

I hear ya they deffinetly jerked me around. Although I must admit they were alot better company than the big blue tag and they had alot better product and more knowledgable people too then the tag.

 

um so how do you hook up an amp to an aftermarket radio with rca connecters? i don't want wires running out of the unit that everybody can see.

 

Use a line level converter it is the cheapest and easiest way to hook up an amp to a stock head unit unless the amp you have or are getting has high level inputs then you will not need the converter. Don't go splicing rca's you will be dissatisfied with the outcome.

 

I ripped the center console out and the rear seat out. Then ran the wires under the rear seat, under the carpet, and up the center console to the radio.

 

Well, if you're running wires out of the deck, I would hope that you'd have the sense to run them out of the BACK of the deck.

Hiding the wires is the least of your problem if you're going to hack the stock deck. The easiest solution is still to use line level converters, or get an amp hith high level inputs.
