Boss Head units HELP!!

as the title says
are the boss mp3 units any good?
they have blue illumination so me wants..
any1 had any experience..

I don't have any experience with those hu's,but I personally wouldn't touch one with an 18" subwoofer!! You'd be better off going with one of the more well known/well respected brands.There are several out there that have red/blue lighting.
Because they are just not regarded as well made/good performing equipment.If the things that are alluring you to Boss is the pretty blue lights and the cheap price,you could still do better with a better brand but in a lower price range.Take a look at Crutchfield and see what you can see.I bet you can find better.

With headunits there are cheap units from every brand. You are better off buying a cheap Kenwood or Pioneer. However...

Alpine sells cheap units also.
If you have plans on getting a complete aftermarket audio system with subwoofer and separate amps for the front speakers and for the subwoofer, get a headunit with 3, 4volt or more, pre amp outputs.
