Battery re-location
It's very easy to do,
1) first you remove your battery from it's current location from under the hood and remove the battery tray since it's no longer needed.
2) before you run any wires you have to mount the battery box into the rear of the car, this is the hardest part to do and I had to make a custom plate and braket since there was no area large enough to bolt it down. You want to make sure the battery is very secure because if your ever in a serious accident it could come loose and smash you in the back of the head and most likely kill you!!.
3) Once the battery is bolted down in it's new home you can start to wire it up, do not attach any wires to the battery itself until the job is totally complete. Start in the back of the car and work your way to the front, the first wire to set-up would be your new negative(-) cable, this wire will go from the - batery terminal and bolted to a metal surface in the hatch area, be sure to sand down and clean the metal surface you want to bolt it to. If you bought the kit it will come with ring terminals that need to be crimped on the end of the cable and it can be attached to a good grounding location with a good sheet metal screw.
4) After your new negative cable is complete you can work on the posotive(+) cable, this is the only cable that has to be ran to the front of the car to where your battery used to be, there was a grommet under my spare tire and thats where I ran the cable through. Once you feed the wire though the grommet double check to make sure you left enough slack by the battery so it can be easily connected, then climb under your car and route the cable to the front on the car to where your battery used to be. If you buy the kit it comes with fasteners to attach the cable under the car, just be sure to route it away from the exhaust so you don't melt the insulation off the wire and short it out.
5) once your + power cable is ran to under the hood it will have to be attached to the + power cable that used to be attached to the battery. What I did was I went out to the local stereo shop and bought a distribution block that the cables would fit into, it was either 2ga or 4ga. By doing this it would make it very easy to connect all the posotive wires together and it will also leave me a spot where I could get easy access to any posotive power connections I will need in the future. All you have to do is mount the distribution block under the hood where all the wires can reach, cut the old battery terminal off the posotive cable and put the end into one of the holes in the block and stick the + cable from the back of the car into another, then bingo the posotive cable connection is done.
6) Now all you have left is the negative cable under the hood, for this all you have to do is cut the old battery terminal off and crimp on a ring terminal, you can ground this cable to any good locationg on the chasis, just be sure to clean the surface good and remove any paint so to make a good ground, I think I used one of the bolts and hole that used to be for the battery tray.
7) you should be all done now, go to the back of the car and attach the cables to the battery, it's a good idea to have a freind at the front of the car just in case something is wrong or shorting out he can scream like a girl and you can rip the battery cables off before any real damage is done.
I hope this helps a little and I will try to add a few pictures during the week , later.

Wow, I'm excited that this thread grew so much overnight tongue.gif. I sold the car to a friend, but I still have the intention of doing the battery re-location for him, since I've bought most of the parts already though.
