Default Any security experts out there?

Before I finalize what system I get, I was going to see if anyone had any opinions or have ever used any of these brands of systems. These are my choices:

Code Alarm
Autopage
maybe one of DEI's

but more than likely it'll be one of the top two. And as of right now I'm leaning more toward the Autopage.

And as I've said before they'll be professionally installed, and to begin with it'll just be the system itself, I won't have pins, backup battery, zone sensors or anything like that to begin with, just the shock sensors that come with it, and the remote start, remote keyless, and to be able to remotely turn my neon's on and off.

I've got a DEI Python system, just put it in last weekend. I got it home and futzed with it some more because they left out some of the features I wanted, and it was VERY easy to program by valet switch and remote. I've had no trouble with it so far, but I don't have any extra channels installed (like you'll need for your neons). Installing an extra channel doesn't sound hard though... I'm planning on slapping some more modules on it myself once I get some stuff to hook up to it.

I went to Hyundai dealer in LA and they gave me a dealer price for the security system. I believe that the company who made my security system is Viper. I paid $200 for system + pro. installation.
I had no problem so far... so I guess they are good too

I have a code alarm. It's great. I have all the fun little goodies too like glass breakage sensor, proximity sensor, keyless entry on both doors, electric hatch pop, PIN switches for the hood, and spare battery for the alarm. I got the actual alarm off Ebay for $60, and then I bought all the fun stuff from a stereo shop near by. I installed everything in a weekend and I have ZERO complaints about it! It's an awsome alarm! wink.gif

I've looked at the Code systems, and they seem to be pretty good. Have you heard or seen anything with the Autopage systems Lo&Show?

A friend of mine has an Autopage system on his car. It's pretty good, but funnier than all hell. He also has a proximity sensor and one day he accidently turned that feature on without knowing it. We were in the mall, and his pager kept going off because people were walking by his car, or birds would fly by and make his pager go off too. So like every 10 minutes he kept running out to his car. He couldn't figure out why the alarm kept going off and why he kept getting paged.

Pretty hilarious stuff. I knew he had that feature turned on, but I didn't have the heart to tell him. Besides...it was too much of a good laugh to waste.
