It's seems like you would be only using half of what the speaker can really do if you wire it that way. But I may be wrong but that would put you at the right ohmn load.

Uh... No.

That is describing a series wiring setup, which will give you an 8 ohm setup.

The amp should be setup in stereo (2 channel) mode, for 2X2 ohm loading, but a bit different...

Foe each stereo channel, the wire goes from the (+) terminal of the amplifier to the (+) terminal of BOTH voice coils. (OR from the amplifier to the (+) channel on one, then th the (+) channel on the other.) The (-) sides are wired the same way.

Or, for 4 ohm 1 channel loading, you can wire them as follows:

Subs are: Sub 1 and Sub 2
Terminals are (+) and (-) on Coil A and Coil B

Wire goes from the (+) terminal on the amplifier to the (+) terminal on voice coil A, Sub 1. From there, it will also go to the (+) terminal on Voice coil A, Sub 2.

Wire goes from the (-) terminal on the amplifier to the (-) terminal on Voice coil B, Sub 1. From there, it will also go to the (-) terminal on Voice coil B, Sub 2.

A "jumper" wire will connect the (+) terminal of voice coil B to the (-) terminal of voice coil A on BOTH subs.

This uses Ohms law, to provide a 4 ohm final loading to 1 channel.

The final output is similar, 800W total, but instead of 400X2, you're getting the 800X1 THD and power output will be the same, but you will get a somewhat better signal from running the subs in mono.

We're not trying to DELIBERATELY confuse you, you know.

all i have to say is US Amps. They are the best sub amps avail, plus they all come in 2 or 4 ohm versions.
