ok i know ive asked before but i have more specific info and need to know if anyone has dealt with audiobahn amps.

i already have my 2 jl 12" w3 that say 250 rms. but i cant find max.... and i need to know if audiobahn is a good company. i was planning on buying rockford but i can get audiobahn at a lower price and it looks better. anyone?

 

Im also looking into a couple audiobahn amps. So far from what I can tell they are a pretty good company. They won a couple Spl competions last year.

 

Well I have been doin spl competitons for 3 yrs now, and the best amp on the market is the Earthquake d2 it is reliable and the most powerful street pounding amp you will ever buy. I would honestly swich woofers though, because u know wut JL stands for in DB Drag terms (Just Lost). I wuld look into either some Rockford woofers or wut is really mak'n a big bagn and i have 4 of is the ID Max.....

 

Hey ice where would i find these ID Max woofers? Im customizing my sub/amp setup and will need a new 12" sub (for a big- approx 2 cubic feet volume- box). I was also lookin at the high level fosgates (since i now have the cheap fosgates but they still hit hard), so any of your help would be appreciated!!!

 

Thats funny I hit in the low 150's and almost made the finals with 3 jl's ran by 2 punch 1000.1 I must have missed the day at school they taught the abriviation for just lost is JL thanks for the lesson ha.

 

i am getting two of the 13.5 w'7s with the jl 1000/1's and i have heard the 12 w'7 with the jl 500/1 and it sounds great jl is way better than any thing in my opion

 

I have never used the audiobahn amps or anything so I don't know how good they are. But I did have a complete rockford system in my fullsize and I loved how it sounded. Never got the db checked though but I wanted to it had 6 HE2 10's running off two bd1000.1, Fanatic Q's 5 1/4 and 3/4 tweeter running off a punch 100.2, and two 4x6 in the back also running off a punch 100.2. Sounded badass but now I'm running a MTX amp not sure on the model and two Toby Ranger 10's and those things hit hard as hell. But you have to have a lot of room for the box.LOL

Here's the main thing with amps and speakers, with a smaller amp the sound of the bass speakers will only increase to a certain amount. To get it beyond that point you need more power. Power does blow speakers destortion does. So you might want to go with an amp that is rated at a higher wattage so you can have better sound quality out of them.IMO.

 

so would the rockford 800 be good enough for my two jl's? if it says 250 rms is that per voice coil? so what would the max be?

 

The 800 would be perfect but you could always go higher if you wanted. I beleive max is 500 per sub. I wouldn't worry about overpowering them more speakers are blown by to little power than to much actually to much power is a good thing when it comes to speakers/subs.

 

ok so heres what im looking at. if i want a rockford 800.2 brand new its 310 w/ ship incl.

if i want an audiobahn chrome 800w amp. its like 250 w/ ship.

the audiobahn looks much better but is alot less. i dont want to buy crap and audiobahn looks ok. but personal preference what should i really look towards.
