I put in the SpeedHut gauge set that was in our GB and I`m having a few "annoyances." First and foremost my speedo is off by about 5 miles, it seems that it doesnt pause during 0 - 5 or 10 mph like it should. Im 95% sure that i kept the needle from turning during installation. Also I need to take the aftermarket gauges back off again to remove the stock faces (I just left the old ones on), but like an idiot, I super glued part of the tach to keep it against the stock faces. Anyone got any tricks to unglue the faces from one another without damaging the speedhut gauges?

Why do you want to remove the stock faces? Aren't they necessary for the icons to show up correctly?

Id cut out the idiot lights off the stock ones and attach them to the back of the new ones. The tach needle is getting caught on the new faces.

Sorry, I'm not really helping, just curious how you installed them. Did you take off the needles and put them back on?

Thats fine, let my screw ups be your guide! Yes I did, i used a small flat screwdriver under the actual needle to pry on the outside edges of the oval.

Mine were a bit of a b**** too. Had to have a friend drive beside me and just put the needle at the speed we were driving, ha. Engine temp was fine, rpms had to adjut a bit but that ones good. Fuel is only major concern. I filled it and just put the needle to the top of the bar...better we have more gas when we think we are out then less. So i'm gonna play out the tank of gas and then put the glass over the gauges finally.

Did you manage to but both faces on without the needles touching?

Not really sure what he means by that. Like the clearance from the needle to the gauge face is gone cause you added more? It's not like you have to push the needles on till they're are stuck and hitting the gauge face. They don't have to be pushed hard onto the little pins they sit on at all.
