Yes, there is a big difference.
Knobs, switches, the plastic surround and the gauges are slightly different.
I think Jaws99 did the conversion himself, but it cost him close to $600 in junkyard parts and some OEM parts.

Some of the plugs don't match up (99 plug to 00-01 buttons) The clock, fog lights and rear defrost and for some odd reason the hazard switch has to be extended (add on more wire) and changing over all the heating controls is a big pain in the arce other than that it's not bad (being sarcastic). This all started by me wanting the peice to go around the shifter and the when I put it in it didn't match up it bubbles up where the 99's bubble down and then the rest is history. Just think I did this instead of a body kit just paint IDIOT on my forehead. Hope that helps you Random
