Default Why would somebody need quick release fuel fittings?

I overheard a conversation today about someone installing quick release fuel fittings on their fuel lines, and I could not for the life of me figure out why something like that would be needed. Any input?

Maybe they are talking about the standard spring type. All the Fords I had had them. They used a tool like this to disconnect them.

Quick release fuel fittings would have saved me an hour per fitting last Saturday.

That stupid thing is as close as I've come to saying badwords in public and really meaning it in a while. Oh well it's changed now.
