^^ Have you actually been to Korea? Even my Japanese friend agree that Korean food is awesome. I love sushi and all , but I think Japanese food is all decoration. Korean's just don't eat raw fish with Lettuce leaves. Eat it with rice too and eating it with Soju is a must. I've eaten alot of Korean and Japanese food. I believe the Korean's beat Japanese in Soups, Seafood dishes, side dishes. The only Japanese food I liked was Sushi. Tempura is nasty, Udon taste too bland. But I do love Japaense real ramen.

The only reason why you rarely find any Korean restaurants is because the food takes so much time to make, it's very difficult to make and the lack of greasy foods Americans love. That was taken from New York City magazine when they were talking about Korean vs Chinese vs Japanese restaurants.

offtopic.gif this is starting a bit off topic...
maybe start a new FOOD thread? lol

PS. borsch is yammy, with Ukrainian bread, yam yam. Have you ever tasted salted cucumbers, tomatos? I mean salted (cooked that way, kinda like pickled but different).

Fonseca, you are nuts mang..

1. Sushi if f***ing disgusting. If I want that shit, I'll just get some Kimbop.

2. Korean food is a world of spices, soups, wraps, and noodles. Yes, Korean BBQ is the most famous of their food and yes, it is awesome, but everything from Yakimandu to Mandu Soup, and more. I've had both, and the only Japanese food I will eat on a regular basis is the stuff at a Japaneese Steakhouse

3. Soju > Sake

4. Kimchee. Kimchee in the US usually sucks. The stuff in Korea, after you learn to like it, is wonderful. I won't eat some of them, they just aren't my style, but Cabbage, Cucumber and Beansprout Kimchee are the absolute best. I've found one place in the US so far that has good Kimchee, they are here in Albuquerque. Oh yeah, Tofu Kimchee can go to hell.

I've got a Korean Cookbook here, I should post some of the stuff up.
