Why Don't My Subs Work?
I can't figure it out....
I've..
-Checked grounds
-Checked fuses
-Checked remote
-Checked All Positives with a test light
-Checked with 2 amps
-Checked with 2 subs
-Switched RCA's to different slots
-Tried on all different power levels through amp and Headunit
The only things that I think could have happened are in the head unit, because I can't bleieve that 2 subs and two amps are all smoked with no visible damage and the Green "Let's Bump" lights are lit up on the Amps....... No voice coil damage, Tinsel wires are fine, cones are fine, Magnets aren't damaged... What do you guys think?

Check your head unit settings.
I was with my buddy and he was telling me he checked anything so we went to Best Buy quick (where he had the system put in) and it ended up our other friend was drunk and messing with his head unit and switched it off.
Do you get anything out of the subs?
Do they turn on then turn off at a different volume level?
Are you positive your negative leads from the speakers are right?

Any update? Find out what's going on?
It can't be crappy music! I pump devil music (heavy metal/death metal) through mine and I will tell you, the double bass kills that rap crap (NOT STARTING A FIGHT. Just a statement! LOL) nana.gif .

I've checked the headunit and everything is ok in the settings. As far as the RCA's, if those were burnt out, wouldn't my MOSFET amps fry in the HU too? I have three sets of RCA in the back of my HU. I've tried two of them with no luck, and the third is Rear Output. The fuse for the HU is good as well. My speaker wire is all hooked up correctly, as are my RCA's. All I can think of is possibly my RCA's got rubbed raw and are touching (VERY unlikely, ran through stock tibby wire channels under the panels). Gah... So pissed about this. I'm going to test my subs on a friends system tomorrow that I know works, then check amps with his subs too. We'll see...
DTN: How would I hook my Amp up to my IPOD? What does the cord look like? Pics?
And thanks for taking time to help me guys, I really appreciate it. Seems I have a lot of odd phenomena happening with my life lately...

you can get 1/8th inch STEREO to rca cables/adapters at radio shack. i know some ipods use a smaller plug, so you might need an adapter for that too.
i would take a dmm to the rca ends with it set to measure ac voltage, then measure between the inside and outside of each plug. you should see some fluctuation if a signal is actually reaching the amp.
