whats the stock exhaust pipe size on the 96 tiburon?

To answer the original question, I want to say the original was 1-7/8" crush-bent.

What you wanna do, if N/A get a Decent header, like a Megan(reason being, metal quality makes a HUGE diffrence in exhaust pitch). Then run Stainless Steel 2.5" all the way back from the header to the back. That will give you a nice note, less bottom end power and a amazing top end!


there's my problem right there. i have a 421 header with stock exhaust pipes! that explains everything lol well, i'm getting the stock exhaust sorted out tomorrow so it should be all good. btw, will stainless steel also affect sound in any way?



also, will having a 2.5" exhaust pipe decrease low-mid range power and increase top-end? i'd like to focus more on useable (low-mid) power than top-end power. what diameter would give good low-mid range increase?
