Cannon???

Also the stock is 1.5" i believe, What you wanna do is like a 2.25-2.5 if NA. If you plan on Forced induction, go 2.5-3".

Also ask if they mandrel bend or crinkle!

yea, i guess that would be aluminum. the matte color would be paint to protect the pipes from rust. i really dunno about the 2" pipes giving the car a deeper sound though.

what i can say is this.. when i installed my stainless steel 421 headers, my car at mid-high revs sounds like a weedwhacker (it wasn't doing this prior to header installation). it quiets out after cruising though. my muffler was also giving out a nice sound prior to header installation. my guess is that header as well as the muffler affects sound (someone please correct me if i'm wrong).

my car was sounding real good without the headers. but the gains i got from the 421 headers made up for it maybe if i can change my muffler i'd be able to improve the sound hehe.

yeah, see i thought the main aspect of headers is to impove exhaust note, not loudness, but note...

guys at the exhaust pipe said 2" new piping will give it a deeper sound, with more flow going through them, hmmm

2" piping will be louder than your stock pipe, yet, smaller the Pipe, the more Rasp. Ever seen a Honda with a fart cannon, and it sounded like a Weedwaker on Roids, more than likely because he has a set of cheap 421's and stock exhaust piping with a fart cannon.

What you wanna do, if N/A get a Decent header, like a Megan(reason being, metal quality makes a HUGE diffrence in exhaust pitch). Then run Stainless Steel 2.5" all the way back from the header to the back. That will give you a nice note, less bottom end power and a amazing top end!

If you go with a Ebay 421, it is gonna take a pretty big Resinator and a quality muffler to make anything of the sound!

Hope that helps!

well the headers i got are 2nd hand, and the person that sold them to me was really into his cars, but he crashed his tiburon, luckily some parts were fine, they seem solid and strong.
