What gas do you use and what miliage do you get with it?
This would be a rather lengthy and cumbersome poll.. so I am going to do it the old fashioned way...
What I have noticed with my time here on the Hyundai boards is some confusion and downright stubborn attitudes towards what octane gas the Beta is meant to run on. Yes the manual says it can run just fine on 89 octane... but does the engine run at it's most efficent on that fuel, or is the knock sensor working overtime to keep detonation in check...
Another thing I noticed was that some people get above the EPA average for their fuel economy and more than a few get much lower... with this realisation comes another little tidbit I picked up.. some of the people who get the worst miliage use the lowest octane fuel and some of the people who get the best use the highest...
so what is it? What octane fuel do you use and what is your Miliage?
I use ONLY 93 octane and I regularly get an average of 31 MPG on each tank.

My tib has not seen gas under 93 octane since I bought it. I was getting about 23-25 MPG.
I installed a FULL exhaust system and a CAI and now I am in the 29-31 MPG range. I was just expecting more power out of these mods, but the extra MPG is like an added unexpected bonus. smile.gif

Running on 87octane and doing NOTHING but highway driving, I usualy get up to 350 miles on a full tank..remember this is pure highway driving. Now doing nothing but city driving ( there are ALOT of stops in my town), I get up to 250 miles on a full tank.
