Weight reduction info!
I just got a scale and weight everything before it went back into my car:
Pass seat - 37-38lbs
Spare tire - 35-38lbs
Carpet and easy removable panels - 20lbs
Rear seat - 10-15lbs
So I lost about 100lbs smile.gif

yea.. the bottom of the rear seat is mostly just covered foam and a small bit of wire. The upper part is a little more robust, but not much. Front seats weight that much because they have to hold their shape in an accident without collapsing...
Probably a dumb question but....... how much do our cars weigh stock? I tried to look it up in the owners manual but it didnt' say. Probably could find it somewhere but i figure its a quick question.
I don't know exact weight but I think it's between 2600 to 2800. I think it's on the driver's side panel and you remove a certain amount of weight for each empty seat or something like that.

OP, take out your glovebox.
Trust me.
Almost 8 pounds.
Take the plastic face off of the box once it's out, and a BIG piece of steel is in there.
Take off your sunroof.
