Okay I've had my Zefiro Hood on for about a week and lately it has been raining kinda bad. On my way home today I threw a CEL. I was doing a lot of highway driving and I'm thinking it's just becuase of all of the mist from the other cars. Is there anything I can do? I read in another thread that the vent shouldn't be an issue, but I'm kinda worried. Any suggestions??
I guess if you don't get too much water onto the block itself you should be OK..I'm no expert on this but I've heard you can crack the block if it suddenly gets alot of water on it while it's hot. If you're only getting mist, it shouldn't be a problem. You might be getting more rust under the hood though depending.

No, it's not from your hood mang.
Question though...
Did you fuel up recently?
Go find out the code for us at Autozone.

That's going to be a long drive and pretty hard to do considering we don't have an Auto Zone in Canada.
But ya get us the code so we all no for sure what it is.

when was the last time you replaced your plug wires? Water and old plugs and plugwires are a BAD combination, you get all sorts of arcing to ground rather than sending the spark into the combustion chamber

I was thinking it was something to do with plugs and wires. I replaced them just over a year ago now. As I have stated before, I'm taking it off the road so before I bring it out I'll change 'em.
REDZ I just fueled up today actually. I ran it down to the bone almost (No fuel light) and filled it up.
I just gotta find a place to get it scanned I think Canadian Tire does it, it almost like our AutoZone, kinda.
Thanks guys I appreciate it. I'll hit ya back tomorrow about the code. Is there a diagnostic something-or-other that is available for us to check our own codes. If there is where can I get it?
**No, no CAI Just took of the whole airbox and tossed on a filter. When I did that the only CAI available was the Weapon R one.

Yea... ask around for ppl w/ an OBD-II scanner. we mentioned autozone because they check for free (in hopes you buy stuff from them to fix the problem). dealerships in the states charge $65 (or whatever their labor rate for 1 hour is).

There are plenty of places that check ODBII for free smart ass.
I'm SURE there is a place up in Canadia.
Doode, if you fueled up around that time, it could VERY well be your Fuel Cap CEL.
I'm serious.
Try resetting your ECU and making sure your fuel cap is tightened down till it clicks at least 3 times.

That would make sense REDZMAN it was damn cold and raining out so I may have skimped on the tightening. I can't remember. Anyway, CT wanted $45 to run a diagnostics check, which I'm assuming is what I would need to check the code. I'll reset it and see if that fixes things.
