i notice a couple days ago that when i brake the turn signal lights and the dash lights come on sad.gif ...and now i when started my car to warm up i noticed that my brake lights are on if i was braking...and the only thing i done to my car electrical was when SOCKS help me install my volt, oil pressure and temp gauge but they are not connect to the lighting system when i cut my lights on...
does the tiburon have problems with this cause i need to get this fixed soon before i start burning out light bulbs

^^ Psssht... light comes from bulbs... just cause they're old school in the automotive industry dosn't mean i'm going to change my terminology..... psssht. hrmph.. psssht... psssht... What's the difference between a lamp and a bulb anyways?
Seriously though... it's either the "Lamp" or associated wiring. check the lighting circuits.. there's 2 access panels in the trunk to get to the back of the lights. You need to remove 1 screw to gain access to the back of the tail lights. You can then twist the back of the housing to remove one lamp with lamp housing, twist the lamp to remove it, and then try the brakes. Remove the other lamp and then try it. Remove both and then try it. If it still illuminates when you use your brakes, then the problem lies in wiring not a bulb.
see, the common thing between those 2 circuits is the brake light/rear running light. Usually it's a bulb with 2 pins on the bottom. If you replace it with a bulb that only has 1 pin on the bottom it will cause the problems. If the bulb shorts internally, it will do the same thing. If a wire touches another wire touches another wire it will do the same thing.
instead of the running lights and brake lights being contained circuits, they become 1 because of the junction at the brake/running light. In the front of the car they use the same bulbs for the blinker/running lights you can swap those out. If you take a bad bulb and put it in a front running/blinker light it will cause the dashlights to come on when you use the blinker... tripped me up for a while.
Because of the shielding on wires throughout the car and how they are routed, wires touching are not likely at all. More likely is a bulb shorting internally but even still it's not very likely because running dash lights and running lights off of one bulb's filliment would cause the filliment to blow. The most common problem with bulbs is using the wrong lamp or dibris inside the socket.
btw... I had a huge problem trying to troubleshoot the lamps that came from korea with my K-Spec clear corners. they were single pin and I didn't know that.. It freaked me out for a bit until i figured out that K-Spec was different then USA-Spec.
why do they call it short circuiting when it goes all the way to the back of the car and then all the way up to the front of the car and then back to the dashboard then to ground?

well i fixed this issue a couple of weeks ago before i left Detroit to come back to Virginia...
turns out it was the bulb(it was burn the he^% out)...now i just got to figure out what i am going to do about the short i have...if i jiggle the wires it will stay on...but i don't know for how long...
the only thing i cared about was fixing it so when i stepped on the brakes my dash would not light out
