Ok I'm bringing this one back to life, I went to a rebuild shop, and they said noway our alternators can be redone, cause there's something that prevents it, they claim the stock is the max, so now they have to see my car in order to try and fit another one, from another car, which I don't think possible... I'm not sure what our stock amperage is, I'll look right now, but I saw someone posted on here about NOPI having a 90amp one, would that be good enough for me, how would I know, I suck at radio ****, so I don't know... but my lights big time go down when I turn on the radio and then the lights...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>nopi has 90 amp rebuilt tib alts for 100 bucks a pop</div>, they are 250???

The Tiburon has a stock amperage rating of
90 amps. Thats the HOT rating.

nopi has 90 amp rebuilt tib alts for 100 bucks a pop
--------------------------------------------------
If you are going for a high-output alternator, then why replace your stock alt. with an alternator of equal amperage.....
Also,
Notice the word *Rebuilt*.....
Usually means a part that croaked that was remanufactured.
90 amps. Thats the HOT rating.

old topic time.
My stock alt. croaked and Hyundai put on a remanufactured one, with 70,000+ miles left on the warranty. Remanufactured doesn't neccessarily mean not as good as or better than brand new.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Stocker:

A remanufactured alternator is rebuilt to factory specs. What I'm trying to say is what good will it do to purchase a remanfactured alt. when your stock one is still good but you are in search of a higher-output one. Sorry for the confusion.
One more thing, the stock tib alternator is rated at 75 amps COLD and 90 HOT.

I'm going to look in to it but I do believe the Mitsu mid 90s 2.0 altinator would bolt up and maybe more rebuildable for hop up.
Oh, Hello everyone, this is my first post reply here on team sr.

If you check the back of most car audio mags, and generic car mags, there are MANY places that offer to rebuild/upgrade your stock alternator to a higher amperage.
To the best of my knowledge, no one makes a Hyundai Beta/Alpha specific upgraded alternator, so you would have to send one out to get rebuilt/upgrades.
