The question is, is it worth it to you to polish?

If I were to polish it should I expect any improvement in performance? Or would I be just wasting a couple of evenings?

That would be a waste. If you want performance, you need to get a wider throttle body. Polishing a throttle body requires removing the material from inside. That material is what makes the butterfly valve sit flush. You would probably end up with the car idling too high. You could try it out, but it's much more effective to buy a bigger throttle body.

Adam just go with that ram-air inlet someone on our UK site is selling, or get a matrix inlet manifold and cut and shut to create a double like mine.

You will notice a difference if you polished your intake everywhere you can.
