Default stroker kits

are there any stroker kits out there i could use to stroke out the beta to a 2.2? what would the hp gain be from doing something like this? i dont plan on turboing the car but i am going to be ordering a nitrous kit in a week or two. that with all my n/a mods will be enough for me but i have heard that stroker kits for honda and mitsubishi cars give a pretty good bump in power and its alot cheaper than doing a turbo install.

RPW used to make one years ago but I am sure they dropped the kit due to lack of interest. I don't know of anybody else out there but somebody may chime in and prove me wrong. The amount of time and work to do a stroker kit I would just save for the turbo but that is just my opinion.

What are the goals for your car? That is where you need to start and do research from that point to achieve those goals.

the 2.0 is already a stroked 1.8 and piston speeds get a bit high as it is. I am not sure how doing that sort of kit would be cheaper in the long run than a decent turbo.. but I might be wrong. If you want more power out of the nitrous setup the pills are much cheaper than pistons.

The stroker kit was deep in the four figures on price if I recall correctly. You could certainly get a nearly drop-in kit from Turbosocks for less, if you could still find one. It would need at LEAST a custom crank shaft and possibly pistons depending on how much the stroke is increased.
