<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Zman)</div><div class='quotemain'>I always heard about cutting the baseplate to install the SharkRacing Short Shifter. I ordered one from SR almost a year ago (maybe a little longer) and it came to my door in a week. Thing is, I installed it with no problems and I didn't had to cut anything. I have been using the shifter for a year now, it's superb, works OK, I can engage any gear without problems (except the FVk..ng reverse; buit it's not a big hassle).
The SS I received looked exactly as the RSide Basic pictures, but howcome I could install that without cutting anything?
Have you any clue about this? Any other that installed their RS SS without cutting the plate?
(Sorry, no intention to hi jack the thread, but I think it's related to the first question).</div>
Same here. No cutting, works fine. funny though, mines tough to get in reverse sometimes too.

No, SR stopped selling the RSide basic one awhile back and they had a new one. I don't see it on the site anymore.
