Yeah you heard right...I have some close friends at Richard Pettys Machine Shop...They knew we dont have much aftermarket support and asked whats the one thing you guys could use. I told him an Intake manifold since the AirRam is no longer being sold.

They said they would be more than happy to build something similar for a better price and BBTB as well.

But I do need some help from you guys, they said they need a Intake Manifold and throttle body to work on. I am in school right now so I cant use my parts. They will use mine as the test dummy once the parts are made, then if it shows good numbers it will go into mass production.

These guys build race cars and airplane parts everyday..this is a piece of cake

So if someone could hook us up with a IM and TB for cheap or free that would be great and the price for both would be alot lower for the person who sends it.

They want to know if you guys are intrested, since this is prob. one of the biggest rd communities on the net, if you guys dont like the idea then it will never happen and they will bore out my TB and IM and P&P and be done with it.

Just thought this is our chance to get some more support.

Well...I didnt think it would be that quick

They said they could do better than the 600 that the AirRam was, but it would come down to cost or production. I also told them I would pay them if they lost anything so I have a little riding on this as well. The cost will hopefully be around 3-400...I think that is ok...but maybe even better if they sell good.

They custom made a downpipe in a hour or two for my little turbo project. Just beacause i was wondering were I could get one, and a guy went well shit I will just make you one. So..I was happy..lol

You can send however many TBs you want, but one is all they asked for...im sure they wouldnt mind more.

The discount would be around 40-50% off or ever more I would have to talk to them...but these guys are fast and opened minded so this should be good for us.

I also asked if it they could make it so we can use strut bars as well, and they said they would do their best.

And how much did you want for these, I dont want you guys to feel like im just taking them?

And one more thing Alex did you want them bored out at all? 150 bucks if so let me know and it will be done in less than a week.

 

Actually, dude, take them from these other guys. It'll be cheaper for them to send it in, and I allready have an airram.

 

Right now the Beta 1 is what we are needing...maybe after these are made the Beta 2 could be an option

 

sounds awesome!! what kind of diameters are we talking about?

would it be polished like the airram? and i take it you wouldn't need to make your own brackets for the PVC.

 

I have a throttle body you can jsut have. I have a bbtb already but am looking for a new one so this could be a nice possibility. Let me know and Ill send it out. Tomorrow even. Any idea how big these will be? Nice to see this thread, guess I maybe wont need to try the custom IM route afterall. Ya jsut PM me or something and I can get it out immediately because Id love to see these made quick

 

Ericy if you want your stock TB bored out just let me know how much and it will be done. If not it will go into the fabrication for a new BBTB. I will take these anytime so if you want to ship them out soon that would be great, I will get these to the shop the same or next day after I get them.

This will be direct bolt on...you buy it and put it on thats it, everything you need to install will be included. They will go as big as they can while still leaving room for a strut bar.

If you think it would be better without making room for a sturt bar, let me know...this is for you guys.

The diameter I am not sure about yet..be easyer once they have it in hand and know how much room they have.
