Ok, here goes. I am looking for a powder coating shop in my local area and i was wondering about a few things i was hoping you guys and girls could answer for me before i go making an a$$ outta myself at the P/C place asking stupid(unresearched) questions.
1. Is P/C generally heat resistant?
2. Is P/C generally very expensive?
3. Is P/C usually pretty durable?
4. Would P/C look good on certain items on our cars? i.e. Strut tower bars, headers, brake calipers, things like that.

1.Yes powder coating is great with heat thats how the color's stick u have to spray it down and bake it i think its 450°F or 350°F, I dont remember we bake them in a grill
2.No as long as u are getting plan color its cheap also depending what shop you go to.
3.Yes its durable but also know anything can be messed up,i know a guy i put tires on for at the shop had he's rim's P/C and my bar slipped a crossed the top and ZERO mark's !
4. Yes it s good for about anything metal now with brake calipers u will have to take everything off that is rubber kinda of a pain you can get the same look with paint but P/C is always good .Hope that helps
5.You could always buy the static gun and powder and do it your self and bake it in a grill like we do. i just buy the power and i have my freind take care of the rest
