^^thats how the put the plastic insulation on, they run bare copper through a waterfall of melting plastic.

new harness is the way to go! i would not splice. there could be possible shorts in the wire du to the unisulated wires grounding. also it would look much cleaner

Its not that bad once evrything is out of the car laugh.gif. just start with radio, gauges, seats, then middle console and then it isnt so bad. mostly alot of 10mm bolts. worst part is removing speak covers without damaging the dash. just use alot of little screw drivers.

i would replace the whole thing, less headache. me redoing my wire harness, that plugs to the ecu, was a b**** enough.
