New 03 Tib 5 speed
#2
I thought if the '03 Tib had the 5-speed, then it must be the same as the other 5-speeds from the previous gens due to the fact that the motor that bolts to the 5-speed is a 2.0 BETA.. No? Correct me if i'm wrong but i think nothing has changed...well not much i think...(for the '03 2.0l BETA and tranny)

HMA Service has still not posted any info on the 2003 Tibbies. I'm going to assume like Rich, that they 5-speed in unchanged/minorly changed, however, untill hmaservice.com get's the info up, we just won't know for sure.

I was talking to a hyundai service guy, he said there is a tech line bullentin update on the new reviison of the tranny.
They redid the shifting base (the stick) and the shifting arm inside the tranny.
Also, the gears are locked in with an actually bolt now instead of just a cotter pin. those who have been in the trsnny should know what I mean.
