Maybe he meant 17 seconds for the quarter-mile? Even then, that sounds very slow... You need to practice your launch & also re-assess your shift point.

Get a Gtech off of EBay for real cheap..it'll probably do a more accurate job of giving you 0 to 60 times then your friend will.

Go try it and you count to your self, if its close to 17 secs there is something seriously wrong with your engine, if its normal your friend dosent know how to use a stop watch lmao.gif

If it really too 17 seconds to get to 60 you wouldn't feel the car pull at all. I know once I get to the higher rpms in second the car really starts to pull and pushes you into your seat. Maybe your friend wasn't paying attention and stopped the stopwatch once you parked your car and turned it off, but once you hit 60.

.....my '69 Mustang with a 6-cylinder engine ran faster than that when two of the cylinders weren't firing.....if you're really that slow man, i would invest in a bicycle, at least gas would be cheaper....and even with your 220 lb friend you'd go to 60 mph faster...lol

Miss a gear as in start out in the wrong gear. Some people suck like that.

He's got a MT with intake and an intake manifold. He should be good for a 7-7.5 0-60.

I, on the other hand have an auto Tib, and with my CAI my 0-60 is a so-so 9-9.5.

17 seconds? I think diesel trucks hit 60 quicker than that! lmao.gif lmao.gif
