Ever want to run your vacuum lines like stock, keep your PCV valve in place, and keep your TB/IM clean from the gunk that builds up?

http://www.saikoumichi.com/DC3_page.htm

Took me some time to find it, and some time to polish it, but here are pics of my new catch can setup.

The lines run from the valve cover to the individual catch cans (if you don't understand why there are 2, you should read the info on the site that sells it) and are black, and the clean air goes back in teh blue lines. The connectors for the incoming air go to a tube inside of the catch can, that goes all the way to the bottom 1/3 of the can. Oil vapor comes out and cools as it rises for the exit, condensing on the stainless mesh that fills the upper 1/3 of the can. Result? Car runs great, no bad smells, no gunked up intake.

I ran my old catch can the way several here said to, and it did nothing but cause oil leaks, bad smells inside the car, and plugged up vent lines.

Anyways...

Also, you might notice a few other things in the pics...

Oh, and despite common opinion, look! You can see all 3 of my samco sport hoses! LOL

i have seen this catch can setup in person, and its actually quite nice. thought it would look overkill, but its nice, and doesn't look gaudy at all like most ebay 4 liter catch cans..

It may look big too, but it's smaller than most single catch cans.

BTW, the new hose clamps, thsoe things kick ASS> They are like mini t-bolt clamps. Stainless, made for fuel lines.

MAF is gone, you're running full MS with no need for it anymore, rock on!!

And what's up with your manifold? Who made that?

Looks real nice! Love the location and everything to.

Those mini clamps are awesome. I picked up a couple boxes from Napa and redid all of mine.

Samco Hoses FTW! And I have t-bolts on mine to! Everyone makes fun of me but it looks so much better.

Its in the back. It doesnt fit anywhere else with the massive strut bar.

Actually, I tested a new place, but the hood wouldn't close, so, now it's mounted on the strut bar. Lok close, you should see it.

Yeah, the coolest part is, the bracket I used fit like it was made for the car. 2 bolts holding it.

I love that thing.

Napa sells those clamps? How much? How many are in a box and are they stainless?

ANd I agree with all the rest man, T-Bolt clamps look sooooo much better, and are much easier to use, not to mention secure.

I dont remember the cost anymore but I think they come in like a box of 10. Friday when Im at the shop Ill grab the part number for ya so you can check them out if you want.

Looks great though. I cant wait until youre turbo. That car will easily be one of the tops. It already is super nice and clean. When you get the front end all fixed if its not you should have a whole big showroom thread I think.
