I installed my exhaust about 2 months ago and I have been driving around with a CEL ever since. Here is what I got:

4-1 KRD Header
Racing Cat
2 1/4" Custom Cat-back
Apexi' N1 Muffler

It is obvious what the CEL is from, but I need to get rid of it. I think that it may be affecting performance. I was thinking about ordering a high flow cat. I am hoping that this will take out the raspyness in the exhaust. It will also make my car legal again.

If you are familiar with where the o2 sensors are, then you know that this will do nothing for my CEL. I was thinking that I could relocate my 2nd o2 sensor behind the high flow cat and hopefully this will take care of the problem.

Any opinions? What have you guys done to solve this after installing a header?

get a high flow cat intead of your racing cat, and weld a bung for your 2nd o2 sensor and relocate it behind the cat.
you car will never be street legal with the mods you've done to it FYI

What is the collector? How did you get it to work?

I am probably just going to relocate one behind the high flow cat. Do you think that this would get rid of the raspy sound? I don't care that my car is loud as hell, I just want the raspyness gone at higher RPM's and the sputter between shifts. This is one of the reasons I bought a quality muffler and not a fart pipe. smile.gif
